Bar Trigona

Bar

Opulence and sustainability come together at Bar Trigona, the high-rise Kuala Lumpur destination where Malaysian produce takes centre stage. Local ingredients are at the heart of the operation, with the drinks programme developed in close collaboration with farmers across the country, many of whom supply the distinctive elements that shape its inventive cocktails.

The latest menu, Nectar of Time, organises its cocktails around the passing hours, beginning with First Light. This bright, effervescent highball combines gin, sour plum, lemongrass and elderflower tonic, served over vivid butterfly pea ice. As the menu progresses, the drinks gradually become deeper and more seductive, culminating in After Dark. Among the standouts is the sumptuous Cacao XII, pairing gin made with wild-foraged Himalayan juniper berries with cacao nibs, Campari, vermouth and cacao balsamic, accompanied by a decadent chocolate bon bon.

The bar takes its name from the trigona, a species of stingless bee found across Malaysia and other tropical regions, making honey a natural focal point of the experience. For a true taste of this local nectar, order the Trigona Bee’s Knees, a vibrant riff on the classic that adds the unexpected depth of toasted coffee.
