Joan H. created Hungry in Taipei in 2005 when she moved from California and couldn’t find much information online about restaurants in English. She has since blogged about more than 600 restaurants, found places to fulfill her Mexican, cupcake, barbecue and pho cravings, and explored Taipei’s night markets, shaved ice, dumplings and fine dining scene. She says Taipei has changed a lot in the last few years, and it’s exciting to witness (and document) its growth, as well as constantly discover, learn about and share restaurants and dishes with others who are as obsessed with food as she is.
