Cocktail Bar
Opium occupies the top two floors of a 120-year-old Chinatown shophouse, once an opium den, and now offers one of Bangkok’s most immersive cocktail experiences. Created by Arnon “KK” Hoontrakul and led by Italian bartender Matteo Cadeddu, the bar features nearly 50 imaginative cocktails and mocktails, four house-made gins inspired by Thailand’s regions, and creative tasting flights. The theatrical Campfire cocktail combines dark chocolate-infused bourbon, apple vinegar reduction, coffee flower honey and mulled wine, evoking a mountain campfire through aromas and presentation. Guests can also enjoy standout bar food from the award-winning kitchen downstairs, including red oil wontons and wagyu golden fried rice.
