The Original Ninfa’s on Navigation

Tex-Mex

The original Ninfa’s on Navigation is the only location truly worth visiting, as numerous copycats exist elsewhere. “Fajitas” comes from the Mexican word faja, referring to the skirt steak traditionally used in the dish where it originated. Mama Ninfa is credited as one of the pioneers of fajitas in 1973—originally known as tacos al carbón—before the dish gained widespread popularity across America. Over the years, icons such as Aerosmith, George Bush, and John Travolta (while filming Urban Cowboy) have stopped by, and it’s a place you shouldn’t miss either.
