The Best Restaurants in TIJUANA
Tijuana was once a safe haven to prohibition era clientele from north of the border to drink and gamble. More recently it has earned a reputation from the food media and repeat visitors as a culinary destination. The array of cuisine in the city is vast; from street stands selling tacos in a variety of styles from all across Mexico to fine dining establishments that have risen to international fame based on their alta cocina and Baja-Med cuisine. Chefs such as Javier Plascencia, Miguel Angel Guerrero, Martin San Roman, Jair Téllez and others have led the charge in the region's rise as a Mexican food capital - and a new generation of chefs graduate every year from the Tijuana Culinary Institute. The city also is experiencing a craft beer revolution, rivalling that of craft beer capital San Diego.
