Tuck Shop Take Away delivers world-class burgers with a nostalgic bad-boy school theme. This burger house is for the people, but the touch is anything but common. Clinton and Karina Serex are foodie royalty, having cooked at Fat Duck for Heston Blumenthal, then in the kitchens at World’s 50 Best Attica and Vue De Monde. Secret menu item “The Bully” is a burger masterstroke, featuring a double beef patty made from a daily blend of the world’s best beef from Victoria’s Gippsland, oozing American double cheese, crispy free-range Otway bacon, jalapeños and Sriracha hot sauce, all inside a lightly toasted milk brioche bun. The beef is juicy and pink inside, with perfect char and lightly seasoned on the grill. Ever-present are jalapenos and the Sriracha hot sauce; which Clinton designed as a warming heat that creeps up on you. The Bully is more grammar school than elemental tech, but it has global appeal.
